2400 DINER
The 2400 Diner in Fredericksburg was built in 1955 by Sam Shipp, who later opened Shipp's Grill two blocks north on Princess Anne Street.
In 1986, Harry Yiasemides purchased the diner and, together with his wife Maria and their children, operated it as a family-run restaurant known for its friendly atmosphere and loyal customer base. Under the Yiasemides family, the diner became a beloved Fredericksburg institution and remained under their stewardship for more than 25 years.
The business was later sold to Jimmy Zotas (date to be determined), continuing the tradition of Greek family ownership that characterized the restaurant for decades. The diner remains a familiar Fredericksburg landmark and continues to serve the community today.
For more than three decades, the diner was operated by successive Greek-American families whose commitment to hospitality helped make it one of Fredericksburg's most enduring neighborhood restaurants.
