Anne’s Grill

Once located at 1609 Princess Anne Street, Anne’s Grill was one of Fredericksburg’s remembered local eateries, tied closely to the Moore family and to neighboring Dinty Moore’s Restaurant. Run under the name of Anne “Big Mama” Moore, the restaurant became part of the everyday landscape of downtown Fredericksburg — the kind of family-run place that locals remember not only for the food, but for the people, routines, and sense of community attached to it. Today, Anne’s Grill lives on through local memory, old photographs, and artwork preserving the restaurants, storefronts, and gathering places that shaped Fredericksburg’s past.
