Austin Farms Restaurant
Austin Farms Camp and Restaurant was a beloved Stafford County landmark located along U.S. Highway 1 near Aquia. Established in 1926, the family-owned restaurant became known throughout the Fredericksburg region for its country hospitality, fine food, and welcoming atmosphere. Long before Interstate 95 redirected travelers away from Route 1, Austin Farms served motorists, local families, civic groups, and visitors exploring Virginia's historic corridor. For more than six decades, the restaurant provided a gathering place for celebrations, meetings, and memorable meals. Although the building was demolished in 1990, Austin Farms remains a cherished part of the area's culinary and social history.
