Located on the 2200 block of Princess Anne Street, Carl D Silver Used Cars opened in 1947 after Carl D. Silver moved from Tappahannock, VA where he opened his first used car lot in the year prior, and became the “largest used car lot in the world”, and was advertised as having over 300 cars in stock. The Silver Used Car Lot eventually took over the entire 2200 block, save for Carl’s Frozen Custard, which remains in its original location to this day.
