ESKIMO DINER
Eskimo’s Diner was a 24-hour spot founded in 1929 by Luther S. Hodge (1902–1958), known for steaks, chops, and seafood and popular with truckers and locals. Hodge earned the nickname “Eskimo” selling Eskimo Pies at Richmond, VA theaters. In 1967, the Fredericksburg Asphalt Company bought the building and lot, and it has served light industry and contractors ever since.
