R&S Snack Bar was a popular mid-century Fredericksburg hangout located at 1228 Powhatan Street. Remembered by local residents as one of the city’s favorite gathering spots for teenagers, it offered fountain and curb service and was known for simple fare like hamburgers, hot dogs, and sodas. School yearbook ads place the business there from at least the 1950s into the mid-1960s, where Pizza Hut later stood on U.S. 1.
