In memory of John Wayne Edwards (1946–2026)
A Fredericksburg artist, musician, and Air Force veteran, Edwards brought local history to life in his Fredericksburg Memories paintings. A self-described “Imaginary Realist,” he blended a love of the past with a storyteller’s eye.
Known in music as “Johnny Glitter,” he is remembered for a creative life spanning both canvas and stage. His paintings invite us to keep looking, remembering, and discovering the city he knew and loved.
